Our Denture Solution

At AMA Dental Care, our focus is on restoring chewing, speech, and comfortable function. Dentures are a time-tested solution for filling gaps in missing teeth, and current techniques have made them more natural and comfortable than ever.

We offer full and partial dentures, depending on the number of teeth lost. Full dentures are used when all the natural teeth are lost in the upper or lower arch, while partial dentures are used for patients with some natural teeth.

Every set is designed to provide the perfect fit, balanced bite, and long-term oral well-being. Our dentist considers facial measurements and functional occlusion so that your dentures feel as natural as possible.

Types of Dentures We Provide

  • Complete (Full) Dentures

Full dentures are meant to replace a full arch of teeth in the upper or lower jaw. They are placed snugly over your gums, held by suction or denture cement, to ensure they stay in position. Immediate dentures may also be applied so our patients don't have to go without teeth during their healing period.

  • Partial Dentures

For people with some missing teeth but not many, partial dentures are a simple option. These are constructed using a gum-colored foundation and clasps put around the existing natural teeth. They are supportive of the surrounding teeth and stay in a proper position.

  • Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures may be suggested to provide extra stability and comfort. Dental implants in the jawbone support these dentures, providing more stability and eliminating slippage issues.

  • Flexible Dentures

Flexible dentures are a modern replacement for old-style partial dentures. They consist of light, long-lasting thermoplastics that are metal-free, soft, and resistant.

Your first visit with our dentists will help determine the most suitable type of denture for your lifestyle, oral anatomy, and requirements.

What to Expect from the Denture Process

The denture process begins with an exam and consultation. Based on your oral condition, our staff takes precise digital or manual impressions of your mouth. You will return for adjustments and fittings to ensure the denture fits your bite and you feel comfortable.

Adjusting to Life with Dentures

It is normal to undergo a brief adjustment period when using dentures for the first time. Initially, they may feel awkward or slightly uncomfortable. Saliva flow and soft tissue irritation are to be expected. Most patients adapt within a few weeks with proper care and regular use.

You may also have to temporarily adjust your diet, beginning with soft foods and eventually returning to more solid foods. Our staff will assist you with advice, details, and follow-up visits throughout each stage.

Taking proper care will lengthen the life of your dentures and your mouth. Here are simple care guidelines:

  • Take out and brush dentures after eating to rid them of food particles.
  • Rinse your gums and mouth first before placing the denture back in.
  • Clean your dentures with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft-bristled toothbrush daily.
  • Soak your dentures in a cleaning solution approved by your dentist at night.
  • Don't use hot water, as it will warp the material.

AMA Dental Care also offers regular check-ups to check your denture fit and adjust it accordingly as your mouth changes.
